About Carl Gustav Jung - the cornerstones of psychological types
Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology. Jung was born in Kesswil, Switzerland, on July 26, 1875. He was the second of four children born to Paul Achilles Jung and Emilie Preiswerk. His father was a pastor in the Swiss Reformed Church. Jung's mother was a devout woman who experienced visions and hallucinations.
As a child, Jung was fascinated by nature and often spent time alone in the woods. He also showed an early interest in reading and writing. At the age of seven, he wrote a story about a dragon that lived inside a mountain.
