Tim Tebow was born on August 14, 1987 in Makati, Philippines, to American parents. His father, Bob, is a former professional baseball player and his mother, Pam, is a registered nurse. Tim has two older brothers named Robby and Peter. When he was three years old, his family moved from the Philippines to Jacksonville, Florida.
Tim played football and baseball at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He was a highly recruited quarterback and chose to play for the University of Florida over other schools such as the University of Southern California and the University of Miami.
At Florida, Tim won the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and led the Gators to two National Championships in 2006 and 2008. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Tim played for the Broncos for two seasons before being traded to the New York Jets in 2012. He was released by the Jets after one season and briefly signed with the New England Patriots in 2013 before being released again. Tim has not played in an NFL game since 2013 but remains a free agent.
In 2015, Tim launched his own clothing line called "Shabbat Shalom." In 2016, he married Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, a South African model and Miss Universe 2017. The couple currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida.
